Chakdaha, Nov. 22: The 4th Chakdaha Book Fair is all set to begin from December 9 at the Nabaraun Samity ground in the town. The six days long event will be concluded on December 14 with a gala cultural programme. The fair will be inaugurated by state education minister Partha Chatterjee. At least 50 reputed publishing houses would set up their stalls in the fair. The venue of this year’s book fair, has, however, been shifted to Lalpur from Shyamaprasad Maidan owing to ongoing construction works there. The fair will remain open from 1pm to 9pm daily. Like the previous years, there will be no entry fee to the fair. The organising committee has planned to organise seminar, discussion, debate, quiz and cultural competitions on the occasion of the fair. Special cultural programme will also be held daily on the main stage at the venue.
