Iskcon Mayapur Announced Complete Shutdown To Fight Covid 19

Mayapur, March 23: The Iskcon authorities on Monday announced a complete shut down at its headquarter in Nadia’s Mayapur temple premise for devotees and visitors up to March 27 in compliance with the government directives.

It has issued an advisory for the devotees stating that  Sri Sri  Radha Madhav Temple, Srila Prabhupad Samadhi temple, Bhajan Kutir and Lord Jagannath Temple in Rajapur will remain closed for devotees and pilgrims till March 27.

Iskcon Mayapur’s head of communications Subroto Das said, “The temples will remain closed to ensure social isolation to avoid any possible transmission of deadly virus as advised by the centre and state government. Deity services will continue in all these places and only devotees assigned for essential deity services will be allowed inside these places after being thoroughly sanitized and thermal scan”. In last week Iskcon has announced a restriction on a daily darshan of deities, for two limited sessions in a day.
