Bethuadahari, Nov. 11: BJP National secretary and Bengal minder Kailash Vijaybargiya today said that if the Bengal government has enough documents to prove Mukul Roy wrong on what he alleged about the ownership of ‘Biswa-Bangla’, it should then challenge him before court.
Yesterday during his first public appearance as a newly inducted BJP leader, Mukul Roy said alleged that the ‘Biswa Bangla’ brand that the state government promotes for traditional Bengali hand woven sari and other items which symbolizes Bengali identity and also uses its logo in Government programme is actually a private company owned by Trinamul MP and Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee.
He said: “Many of you don’t know that what Biswa Bangla is? I would like to reveal it today that it is not a government entity but a private company owned by Abhishek Banerjee.”
Abhishek Banerjee reacted strongly against Mukul’s statement and threatened to take legal action on it.
Speaking at the outskirt on party’s youth wing’s conference in Nadia’s Nakashipara, the Bengal minder from Indore said: “If the Bengal Government has documents to prove that it owns the Biswa Bangla and if they have anything to say against Mukul Roy, they should go to a court. Mukul Royji has challenged that all the documents of Biswa Bangla are in the name of Abhishek Banerjee. He has also shown the documents on the stage yesterday. So now let them go to court”
Today BJP leader Kailash Vijaybargiya said: “If the state government wants to go to court, we would submit all relevant documents in this connection before court. Mukul Babu has challenged the government on the matter. Let the government take his challenge and prove him wrong”
