Derailed coac near Gede station
Gede, July 25: A coach of Gede bound UP EMU local was derailed while changing the track on its way to the terminal station this morning. Eastern Railway sources said that the fourth coach of the 31913 Sealdah-Gede local got derailed near point No.53 a little away from Gede station at 10.42am. No one was injured in the incident, even though it created panic among the passengers. As a consequence of the derailment normal train service in Ranaghat-Gede stretch was suspended for about four hours. Engineers from Ranaghat and Barrackpur rushed to the spot and restored services at about 2.30pm. The exact cause behind the derailment could not be ascertained so far
