KU Art Exhibition ‘Contours 2017’ Begins

Kolkata, Aug. 18: Eminent actor Chiranjeet Chakraborty today inaugurated the ‘Countours 2017’, the annual exhibition of art facts created by the students of Kalyani University’s Department of Visual Arts at the North Gallery of Academy of Fine Arts in Kolkata. Ritendra Roy were present during the inaugural ceremony apart from a large number of students as well as art lovers.

Over 100 art facts which have been accommodated to this annual exhibition were exclusively created by the post graduate level students of the Visual Art department, an university official said.

Inaugurating the exhibition, actor Chiranjeet Chakraborty, who is also an artiste said: “I feel honored being invited to inaugurate this exhibition. This is a very rare opportunity to me. The students have done a great work. The works are versatile with original concept which reflect well the contemporary issues, troubles and inner conflicts of the people and young minds. I am hopeful that the students will make a mark in the field of visual art across the globe very soon”.
