Krishnanagar, June 20: The State Bank of India authorities today conferred honors to the progressive farmers and self help groups in Nadia district for their success with support of bank. The felicitations were conferred at a programme that was organised by SBI’s Krishnanagar based Regional Business Office (Region -V) at Dwijendralal Roy auditorium in Krishnanagar.
An official said that by middle of June this year SBI has sanctioned 57 Kisan Credit Card Loans totaling to Rs. 27.14 Lac. The SBI Region-V has also during June 15 to 19 has sanctioned new Self Help Group Loans totalling Rs. 18.25 Lac. It has also sanctioned 10 fresh Agriculture Gold Loans totalling Rs. 4.90 Lac during the same period.
Apart from that during April 1 to June 16 this year, the 1,108 existing KCC loans have been renewed under revised scale of finance amounting to Rs. 548.00 Lac.
“In view of the policy thrust on financial inclusion and increased farm loan coverage, we have engaged our branches in Nadia district for the purpose”, said a State Bank of India officer.
