Chakdaha, Oct. 26: At least ten houses and over 2 Bigha agricultural lands lost over past 24 hours in Sannyalchar village of Chakdaha due to severe erosion of embankment of Hooghly River. The district administration has urged the local people to shift to safer places and sent relief materials for the homeless.
