Mayapur, Dec. 30: Iskcon authorities in Mayapur have introduced well decorated bullock carts ride for the visitors inside its temple premise in Mayapur from this week.
The carts made of steel structure with rubber wheels, which will be available on rent, are aimed to provide a traditional taste as well as to support the elderly devotees and tourists who often find it difficult to visit the different places of interest by walking inside the vast premise.
To begin with, the Iskcon authorities have introduced the cart ride for a stretch of about 1km which would commence from Govinda Restaurant and conclude at Sri Chaitanya Academy with breaks at include Goshala (cow shed), Old Gurukul and some other places on the way.
“We introduced the bullock carts on experimental basis. It is good to see that devotees and tourists have loved it very much which proved from the long queues to avail the service. So this has encouintroduce more such bullock cart inside the premise in coming days”, Iskcon’s media spokes person Subroto Das said
