Hogolberia, Nov. 14: Border Security Force personnel attached to 43Battalion seized 12kg of ganja while being smuggled to India through a porous point of Indo-Bangladesh border near Meghna border outpost under Hogolberia police station in Nadia. BSF sources said that a team of BSF personnel patrolling along the border spotted some smugglers hiding at a banana orchard last night. As the BSF team challenged, they managed to flee in the darkness leaving 3-gunny bags that contained the ganja. The BSF authorities later handed over the ganja to the customs officials in Jalangi in Murshidabad district. The approximate valuation of the seized ganja is about Rupees 1lakh.
