Kalyani, Oct. 10: West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh was greeted with ‘go back’ slogans by Trinamul Congress workers in Nadia’s Madanpur as he drove into the area today morning to inaugurate a party office.
The Trinamul supporters organized procession earlier and gathered at the Govindapur more on Kalyani – Chakdaha road where they raised “Go Back” slogan waving party flags when Ghosh was approaching in the area in a car.
Inaugurating the party office under Kalyani town “Mandal”, Ghosh said: “I enjoyed the welcome gestures offered by the Trinamul Congress workers. But, I am not afraid of such gestures as I travel across the state fearlessly and without any police protection”.
Local Trinamul youth wing’s leader Babu Ghosh, who was instrumental to organize the demonstration against the BJP leader, said: “People like Dilip Ghosh and his party is vitiating the socio-political atmosphere in the state and their existence in our area is unwanted”.
