Mayapur, Dec. 29:With an aim to inculcate spiritual values among people, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) organised long “Gita Mela” that began from December 23 in Mayapur. The 10 days long fair would conclude on January 2.
To mark the occasion, copies of ‘Bhagavad- Gita’ published in more than 50 languages are being displayed at an exhibition organised the Iskcon premise in Mayapur. The Iskcon authorities have also organised slide shows on the teachings of the holy Scripture. Apart from this online quiz on “Gita” has also been organised to fascinate the youth.
The Iskcon authorities have also organised interactive seminars, mock situations to exhibit how the teachings of Gita are quite relevant in modern times. “Our aim is to show how people should practice the teachings of Gita in real life situations regularly”, said Laxmi Govinda Das, in-charge of the fair.
