Kalyani, May 25: 50 students of Kalyani University today donated blood at a blood donation camp organised by the University’s NSS unit with the support of Kolkata based Association of Voluntary Blood Donors. The camp was inaugurated by the University’s registrar professor Debangshu Roy. The camp was organised as announced by vice chancellor Sankar Kumar Ghosh during the inaugural programme of the five day’s certificate course on ‘Blood donors’ motivation’ in last week. University’s NSS coordinator professor Sukhen Biswas said: “We have a target to collect 1000 bottles of blood as instructed by our vice chancellor. In this endeavor we would organise series of blood donation camps which commenced from today. We have planned to handover 1000 bottles of blood to the state government as directed by the vice chancellor. The blood from 50 students was collected today by the team of Kolkata National Medical College.
