Nabadwip, May 4: Senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari said that his party would legally fight to prove that Trinamul manufactured a video with malafide intention to mislead people to malign the image of the women in Sandeshkhali who were the victims of terror and atrocities by ruling party’s miscreants.
Speaking to reporters in Nadia’s Nabadwip on Saturday evening, after an election meeting in support of Jagannath Sarkar, Adhikari said, “We will go to the maximum extent to teach Trinamul a lesson”.
Accusing Trinamul general secretary Abhishek Banerjee of conspiracy, the opposition leader said, “The video is manufactured by Abhishek Banerjee, IPAC, and a man who runs a news portal. These people have done it. But people will not accept it as true”.
In the viral sting video that purportedly showed a BJP’s local Gangadhar Koyal claiming that no woman was raped in Sandeshkhali at all became the bone of fresh political controversy.
Claiming that the said BJP leader has already filed a complaint before the CBI seeking a probe into the matter, Adhikari said, “Gangadhar Koyal has already submitted a written complaint before the CBI Director seeking an inquiry into the matter. He is at the same time going to the CBI office to file a complaint against Abhishek Banerjee. We will go to the maximum extent on this issue”.
“The entire conspiracy was hatched with malafide intention. The face of the protest in Sandeshkhali is the women. There were at least 379 complaints apart from some separately lodged with the police and to the court with the initiative of Priyanka Tibrewal ……. Police started 3 rape and molestation case. So all these are lies? They have done this video only apprehending the imminent defeat”, Suvendu added further.
